Weird KYC request from Dolly Casino mid-cashout
Never had Dolly hit me mid-cashout before, usually the KYC nag comes before you can even withdraw. What got weird for me was the actual doc list, not the usual bill and payslip dance, they wanted something I hadn't seen from any offshore joint. Anyone else cop a strange request from them during a cashout, or did yours go through clean? 💸
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
What were they asking for, out of curiosity? I've had the usual bill-and-id shuffle at a few offshore places over the years, but the odd doc requests are the ones that make you pause before you send anything through. Mid-cashout checks happen, sure, but when the list looks nothing like the standard routine I get a bit cautious about where those papers end up. Keep us posted on how the payout lands, ah well, we grind on.
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
Go easy on me here, still learning bonuses and all the KYC stuff 😅 When yous say "the usual bill-and-ID dance", do they actually want a bill with your address on it? Because my lease is in my flatmate's name and I've got no idea what counts as proof 🙈 keen to hear what Dolly actually asked for too!
No worries mate, "proof of address" just means any official letter with your name and where you live, utility bill, bank statement, even a government letter. The lease being in the flatmate's name doesn't matter, that doc just won't do. If your bills are also in their name, ring your bank and grab a statement, banks can email one with your address on it, been my go-to when a place wanted the doc dance mid-cashout 😉
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Had a similar mid-cashout KYC pop up at Dolly last year, and yeah the doc list made me stop and read it twice. They wanted a selfie holding my id next to a handwritten note with the date on it, plus a screenshot from my banking app showing the deposit, stuff I'd only ever been asked for at one other offshore joint, and never before the withdrawal cleared. Cashout did land eventually, mind you, but the wait stretched out longer than I liked while they "reviewed" the note photo.
Geelong mate, Dave's spot on, a bank statement or a government letter with your name on it does the job, doesn't have to be a bill in your name. I've sent a Medicare letter more than once and nobody blinked. Ah well, we grind on 😄
I remember the old slots first-hand.
That selfie-with-ID-and-a-dated-note bit sounds so familiar, they wanted the same from me mid-cashout and I nearly baulked thinking it was a scam attempt 😅 I did it through the chat instead of email just to be safe and the withdrawal did keep moving after. Still stuck waiting on the bank-app screenshot part myself, no idea how fussy they are about it. 🤔
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.
@Esky_24 good instinct going through the chat rather than email. My rule is simple: I never send identity docs to an inbound email address, only through the logged-in chat or the cashier. Phishers love a KYC pretext mid-cashout because that's exactly when you're nervous enough to comply quickly.
One extra check I do before anything leaves my phone: the request has to reference my pending withdrawal amount, not just "please verify your account". If it's a generic email asking for docs with no link to a specific cashout, I stop. The dated handwritten note feels theatrical but it's actually their anti-fraud screen, harder to fake from a stolen doc dump. Did yours clear without them asking for a second round later?
Volatility > vibes.
Did the whole selfie-plus-dated-note routine through chat as well, mine cleared and the withdrawal kept rolling, so that seems to be their standard gate on the way out. Weird list the first time you see it, but if it comes through the official chat and the cashout still moves, I'd treat it as legit. Keen to hear if anyone's cashout actually froze after sending docs though. 💸
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
Ugh, I hope I don't get asked for docs before I clear my reqs. Is that normal even? 😅🙏
