Been burnt by withdrawal caps before so this thread matters to me. Had a decent slap on a pokie a while back, wanted to cash out the lot, and the weekly limit dragged it out across multiple payouts. Every week I'm staring at money sitting there tempted to reverse it. That's where bankroll discipline dies for me, honestly. What I'd want to know before depositing again: is the cap per transaction or per week, and does it change if you're cashing out bonus winnings versus a straight deposit win? Cashing out in time is everything when you've banked a hit. If the cap forces you to leave funds in play, the house basically gets a second bite. Keen to hear what others have hit with King Johnnie specifically, because that decides whether I bother reloading. 🎰💸
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

Turned 50 into 5k once on the old slots years back, thought I'd cracked it, then the weekly cap rolled that withdrawal out over a month. Nearly did my head in, mate. The reverse button sitting there every day like a dead machine blinking at you. That's the bit that gets people, they bust the balance before the last payout lands. On your question, I'd say email support before you deposit again and get them to confirm in writing whether the cap is per transaction or per week. For Aussies it tends to be the weekly sort from what I've seen on these offshore sites, but it varies place to place and nobody here can tell you King Johnnie's exact setup. Getting it in writing at least gives you something to wave at them when they try to wriggle later. The whole thing's greyer than a Canberra sky in July anyway. Online pokies aren't licensed locally under that act, so you've got little leverage if they stall.

This reverse withdrawal thing has me worried too 😅 how does the weekly cap actually hit, per payout or total across the week? still learning bonuses 🙏

geelong lad, most places cap you on the total per week, so whether they pay you in one go or in chunks the weekly limit is the ceiling, it just gets split across payouts if your cashout is bigger than that cap. ah well, we grind on 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.

That reverse button sounds dangerous tbh 😅 I've only done one cashout so far (small one, went through fine) so I'm still trying to work out if the cap hits per payout or per week myself. Thanks SlotAddict_24, that clears it up a bit 🙏 but does anyone know if the cap changes if you've cleared a bonus vs just playing your own deposit?

Worse part is they love rolling the cap out in chunks so you're tempted to reverse half back and have another slap 😏 did anyone here actually get a full payout through, or just portions?
Here to argue, not to clap for your profit.

@BornToSpin_Mode57 nah mate that reverse flip isn't the trap, that's the FUN part 😅 sent half back once myself and turned it into a huge win ngl, like A$600 off the re-spin 🔀💰 chunks landed for me too, slow but every hit kept the buzz going. LeeManly needs to chill, screenshots or not it works 🤑🎰

Reverse button is pure temptation, fellas. I got my full payout through once but it took weeks in chunks, the cap's on the total, reckon that's how most of them run it. Cashing out in time is everything 💸

@BornToSpin_Mode57 so the reverse button snared you and you're calling it a win? That's exactly the trap. A full payout after weeks in chunks is decent proof though. Got a cashout screenshot for the sceptics like me? Believe it when I see the bank statement, and check the blacklist status before anyone sends half of a withdrawal back in there.

A$600 off the reverse is not a huge win mate, that's a pizza order in my house 🤣 I've sent whole withdrawals back before, watched them evaporate in like twenty minutes, and now the reverse button and me are legally divorced 😂 Honestly though, fair play to everyone who let the chunks land without touching the button. Takes more discipline than I've ever shown. My bank left in style last time I got greedy. Screenshots or not, the payout stories here sound legit, just don't let the buzz talk you into the re-spin 🍿

@VolatilityMaster legally divorced, good one, but that evaporating-in-twenty-minutes story is exactly why the reverse button exists. It's the house's best feature and the punter's worst enemy. And Danny, "it works" means nothing to me. A bank statement or screenshot with dates and amounts, then I'll tip my hat.

@VolatilityMaster twenty minutes to nuke a whole cashout, mate that's basically a speedrun record 🤣 my reverse button and me are still "on a break", it texts me every time a pending withdrawal sits there and I keep folding like a cheap deck. @JackRoller mate deleting the password is elite level laziness defence 😂 I do the same, chuck my login details in a notes app I never open mid-week. Last night still couldn't resist though, reversed nothing but dumped A$80 back in and the pokies paid me A$640 on my favourite 🔥🤑 log out and pretend the account doesn't exist til payday, that's my real trick 🎰

Nice work holding the A$1.2k, that's the part most punters fail at. I keep a simple rule with reversals: the moment a withdrawal is pending, I close the tab and treat the money as spent. Spreadsheet says my hit rate on resisting reverse attempts was appalling before I did that, so the friction tricks people are describing here genuinely work. One thing worth adding on the King Johnnie caps specifically: check the weekly limit in the terms before you bother playing through a big balance, because a cap can turn one clean payout into three instalments, and each extra week the money sits pending is another week the reversal button keeps whispering at you. 📊
RTP is a long-run number.

@CairnsNorth mate, you leave your phone in the kitchen like it's a redback nest 😂 fair enough, whatever works. But let me ask the obvious one. Did you actually withdraw, or did it land as bonus money with 40x playthrough still stitched on? Big difference between a real bank receipt and "paid me fine" in promo-speak. The reverse button being evil? Course it is, that's the whole business model. They dangle that glow for a reason, and every punter who "reversed half a payout once" fed the exact trap they built. A win on paper, right — until you click cancel. So where's the profit after the comeback? 😏💸

@PaulVegas I actually cashed out, mate, cleared the wagering first and pulled about A$900 straight into my account. Took a couple days but it landed, no dramas 😅🤑 My tip for the newbies here: finish the playthrough BEFORE you even look at the cashier, otherwise the cap math gets confusing fast. And check the terms on max bet during wagering, went over once and nearly lost the lot. King Johnnie pays though, this slot pays 🔥🎰💰

CairnsKid, fair challenge, but the screenshots thing gets us nowhere, anyone can doctor a bank receipt, so I'd rather see the withdrawal timeframe pattern across a dozen punters than one receipt. On a small spin sample, one payout proves almost nothing either way. My actual concern is that pending window with a one-click reverse; the house already knows most people will cave and put it back, which is precisely why the button glows. Kitchen-charging phone trick works, I've done the same with my laptop.
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet 📊

Esky_24, the cap doesn't move once wagering clears, the number stays whatever it was, it's your balance that shrinks or grows underneath it. The confusion mid-wager comes from bonus terms sometimes capping withdrawal at a multiple of the bonus rather than a fixed figure, so check which version your T&Cs use. If it's a fixed weekly cap, you can actually do the arithmetic before you finish playthrough: balance divided by cap tells you how many withdrawal cycles you'll need, assuming anything survives the variance on the way there 📊 Jackpot888's suspense movie comment is more accurate than he thinks, honestly. I've watched plenty of players clear wagering with A$1,400 on screen and walk away with one capped instalment, the rest eaten by a session that ran long. Finish the playthrough, then stop playing entirely until the first withdrawal lands. That discipline is worth more than any RTP edge you'll find.
Do the EV, then spin.
