Legend 9 Casino skips KYC before deposit, anyone else notice?
Yeah that got my antenna up too. Every place I've ever signed up to asked for ID before the first deposit went through, or at least right after. No KYC prompt at all until money's already in usually means the withdrawal side is where the pain starts, and I'd want to know who's actually behind the licence before I send a cent. Did they even mention verification anywhere in the signup flow?
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
Reminds me of the old 5 Dragons days, you'd chuck a twenty in and never think twice about who was counting it. Online's a different animal though. Every place I've signed up to over the years, someone wanted a licence or a bill or a selfie before the money even warmed up. No KYC at all before deposit? That'd have me nervous too, Fortune_77 is spot on about where the pain usually lands, on the way out.
I've been through this cycle before with an offshore joint years back. They were happy as Larry taking my deposits, zero questions. Then when I finally had a decent hit and asked for a payout, suddenly I was emailing passport photos and utility bills for three weeks. Ended up getting paid, but only after a lot of chasing. So yeah, a site that skips the check upfront isn't doing you a favour, they're just moving the hassle to the part where you actually want your cash.
Same antenna here, Fortune. No KYC before the deposit is the tell I watch for, because the check always shows up on the way out, right when you want your cash. Anyone from this place actually posted a cashout screenshot yet? Until I see one cleared I file it under no payout, no proof, and I'd be checking the blacklist before chasing anything further.
Licence first, deposit after.
This is making me nervous cos I only signed up to one place before this and they wanted my licence photos before I could even deposit a cent 😅 So no ID prompt at all feels dodgy to me. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but if they don't care who I am on the way in, what happens when I try to pull cash back out? Would love to hear if anyone's actually got money out of there. 🙏

The way I see it, no ID up front just means they want the deposit flowing first and the questions later, and that's backwards from every joint that's actually paid me. My rule is simple: if the checks only wake up when I hit cashout, my bankroll is already hostage. Wouldn't put a cent in there I'm not prepared to never see again 💸
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
KYC just means know your customer, mate. They want your ID to prove you're you before they'll pay out, nothing sinister in itself. The dodgy part here is the order of things: most joints that've actually paid me asked for the licence photos before the first deposit, whereas a place that only wakes up at cashout time has got your money hostage first. I'd hold off putting more in until someone on here posts a real withdrawal that cleared.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Fortune_77, plenty of places let you deposit straight away and save the ID for cashout, that part alone isn't a scandal. What I'd want to know is who actually got paid out of this joint before anyone calls it fine or foul. TurboX says most joints that've paid him checked up front, fair enough, but one bloke's sample size isn't data. Believe it when you cash out, and until then keep the deposit to an amount you can write off.
Licence first, deposit after.
Mike_Win, don't panic, KYC is just the ID check before a cashout, it's standard. But Manly_North has hit the nail on the head for me: if they'll take my deposit with zero questions and the real scrutiny only kicks in at withdrawal, that's the wrong way round for my money. I've been burnt before where the verification only surfaces once you're trying to get funds OUT. Makes me wary of dropping anything serious in there until someone posts a confirmed payout from this joint.
That's exactly what bothers me about this situation. Letting you put cash in when they haven't confirmed who you are first seems like they're setting up a soft barrier, figuring most punters won't check until they try to withdraw. I’ve seen plenty of joints do that until the moment they want to pay out, and usually, it stops then. Got a cashout screenshot?
Hype isn't a payout.
Danger sign for mine is what happens when a punter wants out. Every cashout I've ever had that went smooth got easier because the venue knew who I was BEFORE the money went in, so the withdrawal was just paperwork. No ID at deposit means the whole check lands on you when you're desperate to get paid, and that's when they can drag it out or stall the lot. Wouldn't touch a deposit there till someone posts a paid withdrawal first.
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
Everyone's theorising about intent here like it matters. All I'd want is one actual cashout screenshot from this joint before I bother, otherwise it's just a bloke's hunch dressed up as analysis. Deposits with no ID slap is easy, the hard part's getting a cheque back, and that's the part nobody in this thread has proven works.
Licence first, deposit after.
Funnily enough the last joint I signed up to made me verify before I could even see the cashier, so no KYC prompt at Legend 9 would spook me proper. From a bankroll angle it's simple: every dollar I chuck in before they've checked my ID is a dollar sitting on their promise to pay out later. I'd want my docs approved up front or I'm not touching it. 💸
Dave_RTP nails it for mine, cash sitting with an unverified joint is just trust on their say-so. Only way I'd chuck anything in is a small tester deposit and cashout before any real bankroll goes near it. No verified payout shown yet? Then I'm not feeding it, simple.
