Stake cashout stuck mid-verification for Aussies, is KYC the holdup?
Same thing happened to me during a cashout earlier this year, and yeah, the KYC was the hold-up in my case, they wanted ID and a proof of address before the withdrawal moved. Annoying when you've banked a decent hit and just want it settled, but chasing support in live chat got it moving faster than waiting on emails. What docs are they asking you for?
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
Same thing with my old man's cashout years back. Turned out the KYC was the culprit, they just wanted a recent bill with his name on it. If they've flagged you for ID and proof of address, get it in quick and stop poking the withdrawal button, that only resets the queue sometimes. Once the docs cleared it moved fine. 😄
BetGod's description matches how these checks usually play out, standard docs, then the withdrawal unfreezes. Did they actually email you a list of what they wanted, or did the request just sit in your account tab? Because if it's sitting quietly in there, half the punters never notice and blame the queue. Post the payout confirmation when it lands, though; believe it when it's actually in the account.
Licence first, deposit after.
Bit of a dumb question maybe 😅 but when you say proof of address, does a normal bill have to be recent, like this month? I've only got an old power bill lying around and I'm mid-cashout too, waiting on them to ask for docs. What did yours need exactly? 🙏
New here, soaking it up.
Not dumb at all mate, half the confusion with these checks comes from exactly that sort of question. "Recent" usually means the last couple of months or so, so a power bill from yonks back might get knocked back and you'll just be asked again. My advice, get your ID sorted now and chase up a fresh bill or bank statement if you can, saves you the panic later. Ah well, we grind on 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Funnily enough my worst KYC story involved a driver's licence that had just been renewed. The photo on the new card didn't match what they had on file, and the whole cashout sat there while I sent three separate docs. Ended up being the power bill that sorted it in the end, and that one wasn't even the newest bill I had, just the one with everything they asked for in one go: name, address, provider logo. So don't stress too much about the exact month, LuckIsAllTillIWin, make sure your full name and address match the account, that matters more than people think. And ChasingLossesAgain is dead right about leaving the withdrawal alone while it's queued, poking at it just shuffles you back down the line. ah well, we grind on 😉
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
That licence renewal story is giving me anxiety 😅 I only did my first deposit recently and I'm still learning bonuses, let alone all this doc stuff. If they ask me for ID while my cashout's sitting there I'll probably panic and upload five things at once, does that slow it down more or is more actually better?
New here, soaking it up.
Mine sat in pending during a cashout too, and once I uploaded the docs it moved the same day. reckon the lesson is just get ahead of it, send ID and a recent proof of address before you even request the withdrawal, saves the panic mid-wait.
For the newbie worried about the licence renewal thing: as long as the name and details match what you signed up with, a fresh card is fine, they just want consistency. And yeah, if the bill is ancient they'll probably bounce it, so grab whatever's landed lately. One tip from a bloke who's had a few payouts stuck over the years, don't cancel and re-request while it's in the queue, that just resets everything and you're back to square one. Cashing out in time is everything, but patience during the check is the other half of it 💸

@BigWinOrBustHQ agree with the advice, pre-sending docs is the smart play. Only caveat, keep a fresh copy of everything handy anyway, because I've had a site come back months later asking again for proof of address even after a clean first verification. Annoying, but much easier when the bill is still recent than when you're scrambling mid-cashout.

@BigWinOrBustHQ same day after docs is decent going honestly. My last cashout cleared and I nearly donated the winnings back celebrating 🤣 pre-uploading everything now, lesson finally learned.
The only serious thing here is my bust.
@Adelaide no need to panic, the doc stuff is the boring part and it happens once if you do it properly. My advice lines up with what BigWinOrBustHQ said, upload ID and a recent utility bill before you request anything. I keep a folder on my drive with a photo of my licence and a bill under three months old, so when a site asks I can turn it around in ten minutes instead of scrambling.
@Brizzie24 makes a fair point too, sites do come back later for fresh proof of address. It's mildly annoying but it's just their compliance cycle, not a red flag on your account. One tip for the newbie, make sure the name on the bill matches your ID exactly, that mismatch is what actually stalls most verifications. And if you're depositing by card, double check the statement line shows the right merchant name, banks sometimes list it weird and that triggers a follow-up question.
