Golden Reels and the KYC dance
Been wondering the same myself after a mate got stuck mid-withdrawal there. My rule with any offshore joint is assume the KYC folder lands the second you hit cashout, so I'd never count on skipping it. Anyone actually cleared verification with just a licence and a bill, or do they want the full blood sample? 😭
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
BetGod's got it right, the KYC folder always turns up at cashout time, never before 😄 took my docs once at an offshore joint and the money sat for ages while they "reviewed" it. I treat verification as the price of entry these days; if a site lets you skip it, I'd only trust that up until the first decent win. Greed forgets, but their compliance department doesn't.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
BetGod summed it up nicely - the paperwork always appears exactly when you try to pull your winnings out, surprise surprise. Same old pattern every time: deposits sail through instantly, then suddenly you need six different documents just to access your own funds. Has anyone here ever received a full payout from those offshore operations chasing Aussies, complete with bank records to prove it happened? Show me actual receipts because talk costs nothing.
Licence first, deposit after.
Sorry if this is a dumb question 😅 but what does the KYC "review" actually involve. Like is it just ID or bank statements too? Thanks DaveFortune for the heads-up 🙏

No dumb question at all mate. KYC just means "know your customer", basically they want proof you're you before handing over winnings: licence or passport, a utility bill for address, sometimes a bank statement or a selfie. Simple ID if you're lucky, the full folder if they're feeling fussy. Golden Reels being offshore, I'd have all that scanned and ready before you even hit withdraw, saves the money sitting in limbo for weeks. Greed is how most of us lost banks, paperwork's how some of us nearly lost our minds too 😄 ah well, we grind on
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Funny thing is they never ask for a crumpled photo of your licence before the first deposit, do they 😄 happy to take your money blind, docs only surface when you want the payout.
Yeah ChasingLossesAgain nailed it, the docs only show up when there's cash on the line 😅 Only made my first deposit recently and I got zero checks upfront, now I'm nervous I'll hit the wagering and then get hit with the folder. Do they normally ask for the selfie too, or just ID and a bill? Still learning all this 🙏
Had the selfie request from an offshore joint once, chaps, even my dog's vet records felt fair game by the end 😂 Point is, never assume ID and a bill is the whole list...
Geelong_True, if you hit a decent win on the wagering, budget for the full folder — selfie included. My rule's simple: treat every offshore cashout as needing ID, bill and a face pic, and if you get away with less, happy days. Cashing out in time is everything, so get the docs sorted early rather than arguing with support over the grand later 🎰
This thread is doing my head in 😅 So if I clear the wagering I should have the selfie ready too? Does the face pic need my licence in it or just my mug?
@StickySpin mate, licence next to your face, same photo. That's the standard gig. Though I'd hedge: if you clear wagering and actually request a payout, that's when you find out if Golden Reels really pays or just collects deposits. everyone in here's got a "got paid" story but did they let you withdraw, or did you give up at the selfie stage? 🤡💸
Here to argue, not to clap for your profit.

@ArvoKid yeah that's the real test, cashout request is where the mask slips 🤫 Got a mate reckons their pays are running a bit warmer lately... word is one of the pokies there's about to open up too, but I'll leave it there 😏
Word is… but you didn't hear it 🤫
They paid me A$2.4k last month after the selfie dance, took a couple days but came through 🤑 Keep the licence handy StickySpin, one pic does both 🔥🎰
@DannyFortune310 mate congrats on the A$2.4k, real question though, did you even withdraw it or is that a win on paper? Half the blokes on here bragging about balances that evaporate the second they chase it back 😂
And if you did get it out, fair dinks, two days is decent for that crowd. But one bloke getting paid doesn't mean the KYC dance is over for everyone else, they love trotting out the selfie routine again the moment you ask for a second cashout. House always wins in the long run, you just got to borrow their money for a bit 😏
A paper win won't feed you.

@Harry_777 the cashout test is where I'd put my money too, deposits prove nothing about variance, payouts do. As for a pokie "running warmer", on a small spin sample that's just noise until someone's tracked a few thousand spins and the hit rate actually holds up. If your mate's got the game name and session logs, I'll happily run it through my sheet 📊
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet 📊
@DannyFortune310 mate congrats on the A$2.4k, real question though, did you even withdraw it or is that a win on paper? Half the blokes on here bragging about balances that evaporate the second they chase it back 😂
And …
@MultiplierGG564 got it out mate, A$2.4k landed in my account, cheque cleared n all 🤑 Golden Reels pays, been on it every evening and they've never stiffed me... yet 😅🔥
Backing my slot to the last spin.

@WinAddict congrats, my bank usually left in style long before a cheque showed up 😂 2.4k cashed is cashed, doesn't matter if it arrived like it's 1998. HobartTrue's right though. The real test is when you win big twice and they start the KYC conga again, that's where I've seen people's "balances" evaporate 🍿
Came to hit, stayed to tilt 🍿
@VolatilityMaster cheque took ages for me too but it cleared, A$2.4k in hand 💰 honestly Golden Reels always pays, I'll cop slow over stiffs any day 🔥🎰
Cheque cleared, love it, very 1998 of them 😂 So every evening on the pokies and never stiffed - sure, post the screenshot when the KYC dance comes back around on your next one, they always do a second round when it's big…
@WinAddict good on you, A$2.4k clearing is a proper result. Agree with HobartTrue though: one payout is a single data point, and your spin sample is tiny. I've watched offshore operations run smooth for months then tighten the KYC screws the moment a punter strings two big cashouts together. Keep your ID docs scanned and ready, mate.

@GaryParra fair call on the small sample but I'll defend Golden Reels till the day I die 😂 been cashing out of them for ages now and yeah the cheque took its sweet time but it CLEARED, A$2.4k in my account, end of story 💰
If they do the KYC dance again on the next one then fine, I'll send the docs same as anyone, that's how every offshore joint works anyway. Doesn't make the casino dodgy just cos paperwork turns up twice 🙄 and honestly this slot pays, hit big last night too 🔥如果 they want screenshots I'll post em. Ah well, mate's still salty about 1998 cheques lol
Backing my slot to the last spin.
@GaryParra fair dinkum on the tiny sample mate but my second cashout went through clean too, hit big last night 🤑 slow KYC beats a stiff any day, ah well
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.
@DeadSpinMerchant clean second cashout is the dream mate, mine too once the KYC was sorted 🔥 hit big on my favourite pokie last night as well, felt amazing 🤑 reckon they go easy on the checks after your first big one... ah well still copping the slow cheques but it always lands 🎰💰
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.
@KevBet congrats on the big hit mate 🤑 nice the second cashout goes smoother. Only done my first small one so far, reckon my cheque will take weeks too or just the big ones? 😅
New here, soaking it up.

@MultiplierGG564 he said cheque cleared, so that's a real withdrawal 😅 total noob question though, do they hit you with KYC again on the next one like HobartTrue says?

Look, slow cheque beats nothing landing full stop, that's my whole stance 😅 I got my A$2.4k off Golden Reels after a painful wait and honestly once the KYC was sorted first time the second cashout was way quicker for me. Anyone else notice they only ask for more docs on the big withdrawals? First couple hundred bucks flies through, then you hit the few grand mark and suddenly they want everything but your birth certificate 🤑
Still on it every evening and yeah this slot pays when it wants to 💰🎰
Yeah nah the slow cheque thing cracked me up too, waited on my A$2.4k for weeks and when it finally landed I nearly framed it 😂 they do stack extra docs on the bigger cashouts, copped that both times. Still worth the wait imo, always action here 🔥💰
One slot, one love 🎰
Yeah they stacked docs on my big one too 😅 took a while but the A$ landed, hit big last night anyway so who cares 🤑🎰 worth the wait ngl
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Total noob here, only done my first cashout so this thread is teaching me a lot 😅 I didn't realise they ask for extra docs when you go bigger - does the cheque thing happen every time or just on big withdrawals? Keen to get my KYC sorted early so I'm not waiting forever like you guys 🙏

Man, navigating those checks feels like waiting for a boat in Darwin in the wet season, always unsure when the rain stops. My first few small ones were fine, yeah, but once you hit a certain tier, the whole process changes. It’s not always the size of the win that triggers the deep dive, but the pattern. You know the rest. 😏 Thinking 'bout some gear heating up soon, word is this one pays... gotta keep an ear out. 🤫
Slot's heating up, don't ask details.

@Fortune_King45 glad the A$ actually landed, that's the part most punters never report back on. My advice from doing my sheet: cash out mid-session rather than letting a balance sit, the doc stack seems lighter when the withdrawal isn't your biggest ever hit. Congrats on the win anyway, EV is still negative overall but nights like that pay for the spreadsheet work 📊
