Fair Go cashout question, does anyone here actually get money out
Quick question for the crew, does anyone actually get money OUT of Fair Go? π€
Just made my first deposit there recently and I'm still learning bonuses, so the cashout side is a bit of a mystery to me. Like, what does the process look like when you ask for a withdrawal? Do they hit you with the ID checks first (passport, bills, all that?), and how long does the whole thing take before it lands? And is crypto even an option with them, or is it card/bank only?
I've read the bonus fine print about ten times but the withdrawal part is where my brain melts π
Would rather hear it from real punters here than guess. Cheers in advance π

G'day mate, you'll get a fair few answers on this one and they'll all be different, which tells you something π
From my own run with them, yes, the money did come out, but the KYC check was the slow part. They wanted ID and a proof of address before they'd even look at the withdrawal, so have your docs ready before you request it and you'll save yourself a week of back-and-forth. As for methods, I won't guess at what's on the table these days since it seems to shift around; best to ask their support directly what's available for an Aussie punter before you deposit. One bit of hard-won advice though: don't chase a withdrawal mid-bonus. I turned 50 into 5k there once and nearly buggered it all by mucking about with the wagering β patience is what got it over the line. Greed ate more banks of mine than I care to count π
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
KYC got me too, sent the ID twice before they cleared it πΈ Cashing out in time is everything once you're verified though.Got my cashout fine once the KYC cleared. Had to resend ID once, annoying but fair.
Bit lost here π
what exactly counts as KYC, is that just sending them my ID and a bill, or is there more to it? π
Ha, don't stress mate, we were all scratching our heads at that one once π KYC is just "know your customer". Fancy talk for proving you're actually you before they hand over the dosh. So yes, your ID (driver's licence or passport) and usually a recent bill or bank statement showing your address. Sometimes they'll ask for a photo of the card you deposited with, minus the middle digits.
The trick is to get it done BEFORE you ever hit withdraw. Send the docs when your account's fresh and boring, so when you ask for a payout you're already cleared and it's just the wait, not a scramble digging up bills at midnight. Learn that one the hard way myself - turned a tidy little win into a two-week paper chase because I couldn't find a utility bill. Ah well, we grind on π
I remember the old slots first-hand.
SlotAddict_24 has it right on KYC, though I'd add the utility bill bit varies, some places want it, some clear you on ID and a card photo alone, so don't be surprised either way. My own process with a similar Australia-facing brand years back: licence plus a bank statement did the trick first go, but the statement had to show my name AND address matching exactly, which tripped a mate of mine up because his bill was in his partner's name.
One caveat I'd flag for the newbies here: verify your account BEFORE you're sitting on a withdrawal you want. Doing KYC cold while a cashout is pending is how you end up staring at "processing" for what feels like a fortnight. Get the documents in early, get cleared, and then the actual payout leg is usually the boring, uneventful part. Which is exactly what you want with money. π
Do the EV, then spin.
Ah the old resend-the-ID shuffle, been there myself more times than I've busted banks π one thing I'd add for the newbies: get your account name matching your ID exactly before you even think about cashing out, the number of fellas I've seen stuck in limbo because they signed up with a nickname or a typo is a shame. And keep a copy of that utility bill handy anyway, costs you nothing. Ah well, we grind on.
Busted more than you've deposited π
WageringReq_FC makes a good point about the name matching. I'd go one further and say sort it before you even deposit, because I once had a withdrawal parked for ages purely because my account had a middle initial my licence didn't carry. Never fun being stuck in limbo over a letter.
RTP is a long-run number.
Reminds me of the time I turned 50 into 5k on the old Cleo slots back in the day. Money meant nothing till I tried getting it out, that's when the real feature started π
Same deal here with Fair Go: the checks are one thing, but the bit that snags most punters is the fine print nobody reads on the bonuses. WageringReq_FC and MissFortune88 are spot on with the name matching, I'd add that if you've taken a bonus, read the terms properly before you spin, because clearing the playthrough before you ask for a withdrawal saves you a world of pain. I've been through this cycle enough times now that I do the KYC documents the day I sign up, before there's even money in the account. Feels paranoid, but when the win lands you want the boring paperwork already done, not a fortnight of resending your licence photo while the balance sits there taunting you π
Thanks folks, this thread's already saved me from a headache π I signed up with my full name exactly as it is on my licence, so hopefully that part's sorted - total noob here when it comes to the checks though. Do they usually ask for the utility bill before the first cashout, or only if something looks off?

@TrueBlue_North same boat here, did my first deposit a few weeks back with the licence spelling and it went fine for the ID check. They'll ask for a photo of the licence and maybe a bill if the address differs. My worry now is the wagering side, I'm still not sure if the bonus money counts before or after the deposit clears π
Asking dumb bonus questions β that's the job.

@SlotAddictLord the wagering is where most people trip, fair warning. My advice, check the contribution table in the terms before you spin anything on bonus money. Pokies usually count in full but some titles contribute nothing or a fraction, and if you play those the requirement barely moves and you wonder why.
Also worth understanding the difference between RTP and volatility here, because a high RTP pokie with brutal variance can eat your A$50 long before you clear the playthrough. There's a variance nuance people miss. I ran a session example for myself once, A$50 bonus, cleared the wagering with about A$12 left, EV was still negative once you factor the max cashout cap on bonus wins. Annoying as it is, get the licence photo uploaded early rather than waiting until you actually want a withdrawal, saves a week of waiting later.
Volatility > vibes.

@WageringReq_FC good tip, cheers π
only put in A$50 last week and now I'm checking my account name matches my licence just in case. Do the checks happen every withdrawal or just the first one?

@ChasingLossesAgain π
that "real feature" line cracked me up, sounds painfully accurate. Maybe I'm being dumb but does the fine print bit mean the max cashout on bonus wins? Still learning bonuses here.

@Esky_24 yeah usually the max cashout cap applies to bonus wins, check the terms for the exact figure before you spin. Bet size on bonus money matters too, go over the limit and they can void the lot, seen it happen to a mate. I keep a note of the wagering left and the cap so there's no surprises at withdrawal. π
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

@BetGod this is the truth, bet size on bonus money catches more punters than the cap does. I set my bet per spin before I even open the pokies and don't touch it till wagering is cleared. Cleared a Fair Go bonus last month doing that and the withdrawal went through fine once ID was sorted. Cash out in time, everything else is noise πΈ
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
