Getting money into Fortunica Casino is my whole problem right now
Felt my pain reading this π
I only made my first online deposit a couple weeks back and even that was a saga - card got knocked back twice before I figured out what was going on. Now trying Fortunica and same story, every method I've poked at seems to stall before the money even lands.
Still learning bonuses and all that, so the deposit side of things is doing my head in. Has anyone actually got one through from Australia lately? What method ended up working for you? Go easy on me if this is a dumb question π
Card knock-backs twice before it lands, that's the local flavour alright, banks here get twitchy with anything casino-shaped, so half your deposit drama happens before the site even sees a cent. I've had a card work one week and sulk the next, ah well, we grind on. Worth ringing your bank and asking straight out what they'll wave through, saves you poking at every method blind π
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Same saga here, card knocked back twice in a row before anything landed, and the bank never even flagged it. Feels like half these offshore sites get pinged by ACMA blocks anyway, so who knows if the snag is my end or theirs π€ Anyone had a method actually clear from Australia on Fortunica?
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
I'd be careful blaming the banks on this one, if ACMA's blocked the site, no deposit method on earth is landing from here. Worth checking the address actually loads off a fresh browser before you burn a second card on it π€ Did yours even reach the payment page, Geelong?
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
turned a fifty into five grand once on the old School's Out, so i've seen every kind of deposit drama π mine got stuck the same way, card loads the payment page then quietly bounces.
Mines bounce at the payment page too, card said approved on the bank end but nothing landed π¬ BetGod's browser check tip is worth a go before I try another deposit, how'd yours end up?
Learn something new about casinos every day.
You all saying the bank approved it, did anyone actually check for a pending hold that never converts? Reckon that's the ACMA block eating the deposit while your card still gets pinged π
John's onto something with the pending hold - same thing happened to me, bank app showed the amount sitting there for days like it was going to land, then it just quietly vanished back. When a site's been knocked off by the regulator that's usually your answer: the card gets pinged but nothing ever settles. Worth ringing the bank and asking if it converted before you chuck another deposit at it.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
@DaveFortune same thing ate A$200 of mine once, sat there pending for four days then ghosted like my ex π€£ The bank app really gaslights you into thinking it's about to land. Now I just assume any deposit that takes longer than a cuppa is gone and I'm always pleasantly surprised otherwise π
One more spin, promise.
@Jackpot888 four days pending sounds dodgy as π¬ I only did my first deposit recently so maybe I'm being dumb, but does the bank app actually show the merchant name or just a generic hold? Mine showed the payment straight away which made it way less stressful, though now I'm second-guessing every deposit over a cuppa too π€
Asking dumb bonus questions β that's the job.

@Jackpot888 four days pending for A$200 and it just evaporated, that's the offshore special mate π My rule is simple: if it's still pending by the next arvo I'm already on live chat asking why, because the longer it sits the less chance you ever see it again.
And nah, you're not dumb @Esky_24. The bank app usually shows some generic merchant name you've never heard of, half the reason people panic. Curious how Jackpot888 reckons he "assumes it's gone and is pleasantly surprised" though... a win on paper, right? Sure, post the screenshot of the deposit that actually landed π€‘πΈ
Show me the withdrawal first π
So the pending hold vanishing back explains it - thanks Dave, that helps π
I'll check my bank app next time before assuming the casino's the problem. Does anyone know if the money ever comes back after it bounces?

@LuckIsAllTillIWin usually the hold drops off in a few days once the bank realises nothing went through, but half the time these offshore sites just eat it and you're chasing support for weeks π€‘ Did you even get a confirmation email from them, or did it vanish like the deposit? House always finds a way to keep it either way π
Here to argue, not to clap for your profit.

@ArvoKid I'm the one who didn't get a confirmation email actually π
my first deposit at Fortunica went through fine though, card showed on my bank app within a minute. Is there a rule of thumb for how long a pending hold should sit before I start chasing support? Cheers π

@TrueBlueBlue rule of thumb: chase live chat once it's past ~24 hours with nothing on the statement. And @Esky_24 mine showed a generic merchant name, not "Fortunica", so don't panic if it looks odd.
RTP is a long-run number.

@Brizzie24 24 hours is the right cut-off, no argument from me. I'd add one thing though: when you do chase them, ask for the transaction reference and the merchant descriptor of record straight away, in writing via the chat transcript. If the hold sits on your card and the merchant name is generic, you want that paperwork before you ring your bank, otherwise the dispute conversation goes nowhere fast.
Happened to me with an offshore descriptor that looked like a random e-wallet, cost me an afternoon at the bank branch explaining what the A$ charge even was. Keep the chat transcript saved, it's your only real evidence if the pending amount vanishes instead of settling. π
